Bitao has worked on Neuroscience research field for more than 20 years. He, as postdoctoral fellow, was trained in Laboratory of Neurophysiology at NIMH/NIH, MD and Department of Neuroscience at Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA between 1993 and 1997. Since 1997, he had had a research faculty position at Georgetown University until 2000. After then, he worked in industrial companies such as PG&E National Energy Group, Inc to develop software, computer applications and databases. He earned M.D., M.S. in Neurobiology and M.S. in Computer Science degrees, and is a Certified Java 2 and SAS programmer. He is interested in applying computer science and informatics knowledge to solve neuroscience research issues, that is, Neuroinformatics research. Currently he is working on web-accessed Synapse Databases and related analysis tools for Synapse Structure and Function Research.
