Fig. 7.1.34. This complex convolution with multitubular body (large arrow) is a derivate of endoplasmic reticulum characteristic of thalamic neurons. It may be related to the formation of extensive non-synaptic interneuronal junctions in thalamus (see Intercellular Junctions Other Than Chemical Synapses). Polyribosomes are marked by empty arrows.
