The volume explorer javascript has been tested on Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0-5.5, and Netscape Communicator 4.6, and should work on these platforms or higher, but specific machines can have configurational differences. For example, it was sometimes possible to get "No Such Interface Supported" when trying to open the volume explorer window from IE4.00 on certain computers. Upgrading to IE5.5 solved the problem, however.
The page containing the table of available volumes should print a message (in yellow) if javascript is not enabled in your browser.
- In Netscape Communicator:
- Go to the Edit menu and open the Preferences... dialog. Select Advanced and check the box beside Enable Javascript.
- In Microsoft Internet Explorer:
- Go to the View menu and open the Internet Options... dialog. Go to the Security tab and select Internet Zone in the Zone: box. Set the security level to Custom and then click on the Settings... button to open the settings dialog. Scroll down to the Scripting catagory and select Enable for Active Scripting.
